– We are satisfied with the agreement, especially in a year like this, which has been characterized by high inflation, interest rate increases and increased operating and maintenance costs. The tariff costs for electricity, heating, water/sewerage and garbage disposal have also increased significantly, says Christian Lundberg, negotiator at the Southern Skåne Region Tenants’ Association.

– We feel responsible for our customers and have worked hard to find a level that means we don’t raise rents as much as we should. We will now look more closely at the consequences of the agreement. We will have to postpone certain activities, for example certain planned maintenance, says Anna Holst, head of rental administration at MKB Fastighets AB.

The lease negotiations are also completed for most privately owned property companies. There, too, rent increases have landed at five percent.
