Chihuahua.- Five municipalities in the state do not have police elements, so the State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE), with the support of federal corporations, has assumed surveillance, prevention, and reaction tasks in those locations.
Yesterday, the SSPE, in coordination with the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena) and the National Guard, withdrew about 169 weapons from the 81 elements of the Municipal Public Security Directorate of Nuevo Casas Grandes, who will be separated from their duties. on a provisional basis as long as they do not accredit their aptitude to carry out police functions through control and confidence exams.
With this intervention, Nuevo Casas Grandes joins Galeana, Ignacio Zaragoza, Bachíniva and Satevó as the municipalities that do not have security corporations and in which the State has had to assume the functions of preventive Police.
