Five Taxco police officers have been missing for 6 days

CHILPANCINGO, Gro. (apro).- Five municipal police officers from Taxco have been missing for six days, reported the Guerrero State Attorney General’s Office (FGE).

The complaint was filed on June 22, but it was not until this morning that the agency released the search files for the agents kidnapped by armed civilians.

The disappearance of five agents occurred on Wednesday, June 21, one day after three homemade grenades were found in the Municipal Palace, which caused the eviction of the workers and the mayor Mario Figueroa to mount an express fumigation to give him treatment different from the fact.

They are the preventive police officers of Taxco de Alarcón: Marino Aranda Martínez, 42 years old; Geronimo Gomez Alvarado, 42; Eusebio Hilario Martínez, 45; and Gabriel Villa Ocampo, of unspecified age.

So far neither the mayor Mario Figueroa nor the governor Evelyn Salgado have spoken on the matter.

The secretary of state Public Security, Evelio Méndez Gómez, admitted last week that in the northern zone, where the municipality of Taxco is located, there is a confrontation between criminal groups, without specifying names.
