MEXICO CITY (appro). – On Mount San Antonio, in California, United States, in the place where the British actor Julian Sands disappeared five months ago while practicing mountaineering, some hikers found human remains.
According to local authorities, on Saturday morning, these people found the remains and contacted the Fontana Sheriff’s office.
The 65-year-old actor went hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains, northeast of Los Angeles, last January. He was in the Mount Baldi area, according to his cell phone signal tracked by investigators.
Bad weather defused the search for Sands, until it resumed last Saturday with more than 80 search-and-rescue volunteers, two helicopters and drones.
Sands has three children, two of them with his wife, the writer Evgenia Cirkowitz.
“We continue to hold Julian in our hearts with fond memories of him as a wonderful father, husband, explorer, lover of nature and the arts, and as an original and collaborative artist,” his family said in a statement.
