Fleeing suspect causes accident that sends three to hospital

HOUSTON – A person trying to flee from police caused a large accident north of the city that sent three people to the hospital, one of them in serious condition.

According to authorities, shortly before 4 am the suspect ran a red light and crashed into the side of a vehicle traveling on Rankin Road.

Three people were traveling in that vehicle. The driver had to be removed from the car by emergency teams and taken by helicopter to an area hospital in critical condition.

The other two passengers were injured and were taken by ambulance.

The Humble Police Department arrested two people at the scene. It is not known, at the moment, what generated the persecution.

One of them is for intentionally withholding national Defense information.
