SVT Nyheter Örebro has previously disclosed that the consultant behind Trainstation made several incorrect purchases that Örebro municipality paid for and that Thomas Gustafsson, who had the financial responsibility for the business, did not comply with the agreement that the municipality had with the consultant.

In November, Gustafsson became suspended from work and also received a written warning. Lars-Åke Brattlund, HR director at Örebro municipality, has previously stated to SVT that Thomas Gustafsson will be reassigned and given other duties.

Twelve months’ wages

Now he is instead bought out for almost SEK 800,000, which corresponds to twelve months’ wages, something that Nerike’s all kind was the first to report.

Lars-Åke Brattlund does not want to comment on why Thomas Gustafsson was bought out instead of being reassigned.

– I do not comment on individual cases. It is a matter between us and the individual.

Additional warning

At the same time, SVT can reveal that another municipal employee received a written warning after the financial shortcomings at Trainstation were discovered.

– I can confirm that another individual has been issued a warning in connection with this, says Lars-Åke Brattlund.

The person has been involved in certifying the invoices to Brightn AB, i.e. the company behind Trainstation in Vivalla, and according to Lars-Åke Brattlund, the deliberations were completed just before Christmas.

Örebro municipality has previously also stated that they will not hire the consultant who started Trainstation anymore.
