The text in no way hides that the Democrat is living his last moments.

“After a series of brief hospital stays, former United States President Jimmy Carter decided today to spend his remaining time at home with his family and receive hospice care rather than to undergo further medical intervention,” it read. Decision that, continues the press release, “his family and his medical team fully support”.

“The Carter family asks for their privacy during this time and expresses their appreciation after so many fans have expressed their concern,” the statement concludes.
