Best-selling books in France: an Algerian novelist at the top of the ranking
While “The Substitute”, the book tracing the memoirs of Prince Harry has just sold 150,000 copies, one month before it goes on sale. These memories of the Duke of Sussex have just been dethroned by volume 2 of the novel by Sarah Rivens.
This is what was revealed by the ranking of best-selling books in France by Edistat. Indeed, according to the latter, the second volume of the novel “Captive” by Sarah Rivens, published on January 25, 2023 and published by Hachette Lab, succeeded in attracting 53,257 buyers.
That is double what Prince Harry’s “Alternate” achieved during the same period, especially between January 23 and 29. During this period, this book recorded 21,383 copies sold. In addition, in this Top10 best-selling books in France by Edistat, Volume 1 of Captive by Sarah Rivens takes advantage of the release of its second opus to position itself in 9th place in this ranking with 8,597 sales.
