MIAMI.- The mayor of Miami and presidential candidate, Francis Suarezstrongly criticized President Joe’s immigration policy Biden and called “not to tolerate” the entry of people into the country illegally during a series of stops that he made throughout the southern border in Texas.
“The millions of people, almost all from Latin America, who are desperately trying to come to our country give the lie to the narrative of the left about the United States: that we are an unfair, racist and abusive nation that systematically oppresses racial and ethnic minorities” Suarez said near the Pharr International Bridge.
“However, as attractive and unique as our country is, illegal immigration simply cannot be tolerated. The border crisis we have experienced since early 2021 has undermined trust in our government, overwhelmed local communities, overwhelmed social service agencies, and demoralized the millions who have been patiently waiting in line to enter our country.” he added.
For Suárez, the increase in drug-related overdose deaths throughout the country is worrisome, figures that have skyrocketed by 51% since Biden took office, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
Meanwhile, the mayor and Republican presidential candidate pointed to human trafficking, which has also grown steadily, with statistics showing Department of Homeland Security agencies made 3,655 trafficking-related arrests in 2022, up from 2,197 in 2019. .
From his point of view, the solution to both problems is to increase his investment in Latin American countries and then do it internally in different ways.
Suárez’s campaign has not had good numbers in most national polls, however, the candidate for the White House continues to press the accelerator to try to win over his party’s voters.
