More than eight years ago, the minimum order value for free delivery rose from 20 euros to 29 euros – the outcry was great. A further increase could now be forthcoming. How among other things Caschy’s blog reported, the updated minimum order information was briefly visible on Amazon’s support website.

The shipping costs without Prime membership are still 2.99 euros (software, Amazon devices, clothing) or 3.99 euros for standard shipping, but customers have to fill their shopping cart with products worth at least 39 euros in order for these to be eliminated . Shortly after the news spread online, the online retailer corrected the apparently hasty price adjustments downwards.
Everything is still the same…
Currently, Amazon customers still only have to exceed a threshold of 29 euros in order to claim free delivery. Prime members receive these ex works, but have been asked to pay more since September 2022. The Amazon subscription now costs EUR 8.99 per month or EUR 89.90 per year. Previously, the costs were 7.99 euros and 69 euros.
So far it is unclear whether and when Amazon will increase the minimum order value for free shipping for non-Prime members in Germany. Few believe that there was an error when updating the support websites. It just seems to be a matter of time. As soon as there are official changes, we will inform you promptly with an update in this article.
