UA French ‘startup’ named Zephalto has announced plans to allow couples who are passionate about space to have dinner for two in the stratosphere in a space balloon named Celeste. The price is 120 thousand euros per person.

The journey lasts six hours and allows Zephalto customers to enjoy “unparalleled views” of Earth and an equally high-quality dining experience. “We chose an altitude of 25 kilometers because that’s the altitude where you are in the blackness of space, with 98% of the atmosphere below you so you can enjoy the curvature of the Earth on the blue line”told Bloomberg aerospace engineer and founder of Zephalto, Vincent Farret d’Astiès.

Note that although the entire experience takes place in Space, space tourists will not be able to enjoy zero gravity. However, the 20-meter capsule allows you to enjoy aperitifs, wine tasting, photo sessions and also Internet connection via Wi-Fi. The capsule has a total capacity for six passengers, in addition to the two pilots.

Zephalto believes it has the capacity to carry out 60 flights per year, with the first scheduled for two years from now.
