As Karim Kharbouch, better known by his stage name French Montana, was outside The Licking restaurant in Miami Garden with friends Thursday night, more than 10 people were injured in a gunfight. Among those hospitalized is Rob 49, and the Moroccan artist rejected the initial version.
Around eight o’clock on Thursday night, 911 received an emergency call and went to the restaurant, where they found individuals with traumatic injuries, the product of a previous shooting. Investigators are still trying to clarify the reasons for the shooting in which French Montana was involved along with his relatives.
For his part, the rapper, in dialogue with TMZ, denied the first versions and maintained that he was “celebrating the launch of my mixtape CB6 with friends at a local restaurant.” Witnesses to the event indicated that, at the same time that the artist was with his friends, a man was robbed on the outskirts, which caused the final shooting. In addition to rapper Rob49, ten people were injured.
