The commerce employees reached a new salary agreement to close the parity corresponding to 2022-2023 and established a new floor of increases for the unions that have already begun to discuss the first increases of the year with the employers. The workers of the sector thus closed that period with 101% and will receive two increases, the first of them with the salaries of February, so that in the last hours the new salary scale was established depending on the responsibilities and categories.
This past Wednesday, the National Ministry of Labor announced an agreement between the Federation of Commerce and Services Employees (FAECYS), the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CACyS), the Argentine Confederation of Medium Enterprises (CAME) and the Union of Argentine Entities (UDECA). The rise includes 22.9% until March, “achieving a salary recomposition for more than 1,200,000 workers and workers.” The increase will be effective in two tranches: 13% in February and 9.9% in March. Thus, the current salary floor of $139,000 will be $182,700.
In January, the salaries of a commercial employee will remain the same. The increase in February will depend, meanwhile, on the category: Maestranza and Services (A, B and C), Administrative (A, B, C, D, E, F), Cashier (A, BYC), Auxiliary Personnel (A and B), Specialized Assistant (A and B) and Salesperson (A, B, C and D). According to the agreement, each one will charge the following amounts:
