The new edition of the carnival magazine Rätscho was presented in the Gemsle guesthouse.

Dornbirn. After a three-year Corona break, the popular Dornbirner Fasnat newspaper “Rätscho” celebrated its return this week. The editorial team led by Uscheallor Heinz Rüf, Stiefelema Helmut Lecher, Werner Matt, Klaus Grubhofer, Klaus Fessler, Marcus Raos and Martin Rhomberg traditionally invited to the Gemsle inn for the festive presentation of the Rätscho 2023.

Numerous visitors – including a delegation from Dornbirn’s town hall with Mayor Andrea and her husband Wolfgang Kaufmann (who was also immortalized in the Blättle with an article), Deputy Mayor Julian Fässler and City Councilors Marie Louise Hinterauer and Alexander Juen – came to see a to take a first look at the red-hot specimen.

On more than thirty pages, there are again reports – richly illustrated with a sharp pen – about local events, socio-political developments and above all about small, funny whoops of the Dornbirn residents.

From black-out to saving energy to hot grill stones in the city, there is a lot in the current Rätscho. The lively “feud and suffering article” from Fasnatbutz deals with current topics such as the turquoise kindergarten club or the beer party in a humorous way. A special highlight is the new Vorarlberg national anthem “Pfuot di Gott mi subers Ländle”, which can be read exclusively in the Fasnat magazine.

Vice-mayor elections or energy-saving tips from the city council are other top issues. There will be philosophizing about the sausage and – to go with it – a specially distilled Dornbirner Black-Out-Tröpfle will be presented. Skyline extensions at the train station, apartment building in Kehlegg, folded bicycle racks or the renaming of Russenweg are other articles about what is happening in the city. The stories “Climate Pharisees” in “Hennowiontor” are supplemented by “Gluing and Climate”.

The new issue tells how a woman drives mice away from the Oberloch, why there is a “Ratziges” story about a café on the market square, who rescued those trapped in the Mühlebach chapel and who the heroes of the butt dance are. It is resolved what the Golden Wedding has to do with the Medal of Bravery and the Order of Martyrs, who experienced a fright in the morning hour and which two charming and elegant ladies absolutely wanted to ride the most beautiful train. You can find out all this and many more funny incidents in the new Rätscho.

The new Rätscho is off February 9th available in many Dornbirn outlets such as grocery stores, tobacconists, specialist shops and petrol stations. (cth)
