Putting fuel in your car is a very substantial budget item, especially for the most modest workers. And soaring prices have only exacerbated the problem. To help the French, the government is setting up new welcome aid of 100 euros this Monday. This will replace the discount at the pump (10 cents per litre) which ended on December 31st. But who can benefit from it?

This fuel allowance is reserved for low-income workers who use their vehicle to go to work. 10 million French people can claim it. To benefit from it, they must live in France and be at least 16 years old on December 31, 2021. Their reference annual tax income per unit must not exceed 14,700 euros in 2021.

Important detail, the compensation is distributed per person and not per household. In other words, if the two members of an eligible couple go to work with a different vehicle, they will each get the aid of 100 euros.
