Diesel oil fell to 1.76 euros per liter on average last week in France. Unleaded petrol 95-E10, which was displayed at 1.91 euro per liter, is also down slightly.

Fuel prices were on a downward trend last week, according to the latest statement from the Ministry of Ecological Transition, with prices set on Friday April 21.

Unleaded gasoline 95-E10 fell by 2.3 cents to be displayed at 1.9132 euros per liter on average in France. The drop was even greater for diesel, which lost 3.8 cents, with an average price of 1.7621 euros per liter.

If we look at the historical curve, gasoline is ending several consecutive weeks of increases since mid-March. On the diesel side, the gap is widening with unleaded after this new price drop. A difference of 15 cents which has never been so important since the price of diesel per liter fell below that of gasoline in early February.

Crude oil remains on its side at fairly low price levels: the barrel of Brent from the North Sea was displayed at 85.4 dollars last Friday, down 2 dollars compared to the previous week.
