Like every week, from Monday to Friday, Jordan De Luxe receives a guest on his show At Jordan’s to talk with him about his current affairs, but also about his personal life. This Friday, October 6, he spoke with Ghislaine Arabian. After talking with her about her childhood with parents who were not at all comfortable expressing their feelings, the host returned to a more painful subject: her past as a battered woman. The chef spoke about it for the first time on the show Seven to Eight, on April 17, 2016. She then revealed that she had spent two and a half months in her bed without being able to move, in a dorsal position and with a corset. What happened to cause her to find herself in such a state? On the set of At Jordan’s, she recounted the ordeal she suffered. “It was 1 a.m., I was coming back from the restaurant (…) Suddenly, it was gone. It was quite violent. I lived in a duplex so it was very easy to throw myself down the stairs“, did she say.

Ghislaine Arabian: how much did she earn from her role as a juror in Top chef ?
In this same interview, Ghislaine Arabian looked back on her television career marked by her participation in the show Top chef on M6. For five years, from 2010 to 2014, she was a juror alongside Christian Constant, Cyril Lignac and Thierry Marx. Faced with Jordan De Luxe, she agreed to reveal the amount she received to appear in the five seasons of the culinary program. “If I remember correctly, it was 25,000 euros per season“, she said. And in terms of retirement, how much does she get? “I don’t know anything about it (…) It’s not me who manages that, it’s my daughter-in-law. She’s the one who takes care of my stuff like that, because it pisses me off“, she replied.
Ghislaine Arabian: this show for which she was approached and which she would have liked
Ghislaine Arabian also benefited from her time on the show At Jordan’s to take stock of his career on television since his departure from Top chef. So, she revealed that she had been approached by the production of Mask Singer, the show which features personalities hidden in incredible costumes. “They came to see me before Covid, to ask me if I was interested. It’s true that I would have liked to do that, I don’t know which character, but it would have made me laugh“, she said. As a reminder, the show Mask Singer was launched in 2019. Laurence Boccolini, who was hidden under the Unicorn costume, won the very first season. The second edition, broadcast in 2020, was won by Larussohidden under the features of the penguin. Denisa Ikonomova (the butterfly) and Amaury Vassili (the turtle) respectively won the competition in 2022 (seasons 3 and 4). Finally, Vincent Niclo won season 5. The singer was dressed as a husky throughout the competition.
