As we reported back in September last year, Google plans to simplify its task management solutions by migrating Assistant and Calendar reminders to Google Tasks. This means giving users an easy way to see and manage their tasks in one place through Google Tasks, whether they’re creating them with the Assistant or Calendar. Like google now informedautomatic data migration for Workspace users will begin on May 22 this year.

Beginning March 6, 2023, home users with a basic Google account will see a prompt in the Assistant and Calendar to move reminders created in those apps to Tasks. If you haven’t migrated yet, Assistant and Calendar reminders will migrate automatically starting in Q2.

Reminders created in Keep will not be migrated to Tasks – they will still be available in Keep but will no longer appear in Google Calendar once the migration is complete.
