The Prime Minister, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, chaired yesterday, Wednesday April 19, 2023, a meeting of the Government devoted to the sectors of justice, higher education, finance and transport, indicates a press release from the Services of the Prime Minister.
In the field of Justice, the Government examined a new draft of the draft law relating to the protection and preservation of State lands, presented by the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals.
This version has been enriched in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic, given during his examination in the Council of Ministers and this, by further strengthening the system to be put in place for the protection of State land and land recovered at the level municipalities, in particular the land bases recovered after the various rehousing operations.
In addition, the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals presented a communication on the justice sector digitization project.
For higher education, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research presented a communication on the digitization project for the higher education and scientific research sector.
This project, which is part of the implementation of the Government’s Action Plan for +improving the quality of higher education and scientific research+, aims to digitize the all activities in the sector while giving priority to higher education establishments, the National Office for University Works, the central administration and research centres.
In finance and transportation
In addition, the Ministers of Finance and Trade and Export Promotion presented a joint communication on the results of the consolidation of certain Algerian customs tariff positions.
The purpose of this communication is to assess the measures already taken within the framework of the control of foreign trade, in particular the excessive recourse to the domiciliation of imports, avoiding recognized customs codes and this, for the purposes of fraud and over-invoicing, in particular .
Finally, the Minister of Transport presented a communication relating to the problem of the desilting of railway tracks.
The presentation focused on the main factors at the origin of this phenomenon, particularly in certain Saharan regions, as well as the solutions and measures to be taken in the context of the fight against the silting of the railways, through the multiplication of de-silting and maintenance operations on the entire railway network as well as carrying out intensive afforestation operations along the lines concerned”.
