Monterrey.- A man who in January 2020 assaulted a Costco store customer, from whom he stripped a Rolex watch, in the south of the City, was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

In an Oral Criminal Trial hearing, Jonathan Alberto received a conviction for the crime of robbery carried out with violence, according to the Attorney General’s Office.

The Public Ministry fully demonstrated with documentary, testimonial and scientific evidence, the responsibility of the accused in the facts.

They indicated that, in addition, the judge imposed the payment of reparation for damages, consisting of the value of the stolen object, as well as the psychological treatment of the victim.

Jonathan Alberto and an accomplice committed the assault at high noon on January 18, 2020, in the Costco parking lot on National Highway.

The victim left the store with a minor relative and when they were about to get into their vehicle, Jonathan Alberto threatened him with a weapon, stripping him of his Rólex GMT watch, valued at 350,000 pesos.

He then fled with an accomplice who was waiting for him in a vehicle.
