According to the North Carolina Education Lottery, Caudill purchased his $2 lucky ticket at 1 Stop on West Mountain Street in Kernersville and won the prize after matching all 5 white balls in the last drawing.

This winner went to the Lottery offices in his state last Monday to claim his prize and he chose to receive a single payment, which after deducting taxes, he took home $277,879.
