Every year, Apple introduces a long list of API innovations and changes in its operating systems, opening up new opportunities for developers to add exciting features to apps. In addition to extended functionality of apps at desktop level for iPads, iOS 16 includes interfaces that make the content and functions of apps available for system services via Siri and the Shortcuts app, bring widgets to the iPhone lock screen and allow data to visualize with Swift Charts.

In the two-hour webinar “The new APIs in macOS, iOS, iPadOS, watchOS and tvOS in action“, the technical author and security specialist Klaus Rodewig will provide a tour with insights at the code level on January 26. Developers, product owners and architects will learn about important new features and APIs in the latest Apple operating systems and find out where there are significant changes Participants can use this to develop ideas for new functions and products.

Central innovations in Apple’s developer tool chain are also on the agenda, including Xcode 14, Xcode Cloud and multi-platform programming. The focus of the webinar is on practical application.
