Hellblade 2 is one of those games that have been very discreet this year. A large chunk of Xbox Series gamers were hoping to see the exclusive at Microsoft conferences, but they weren’t. A silence that had begun by worrying so much Ninja Theory communicated at full speed on the progress of the first episode in its time. They can be reassured, everything is obviously going well internally. Hellblade Senua’s Saga recently passed an important milestone in its development. The developers also promise to resume their usual communication very soon.
Soon news of Hellblade 2
Since the announcement of Hellblade 2 at The Game Awards 2019, Ninja Theory has been quiet. The studio used to communicate openly about the progress of its projects through developer diaries that highlighted various aspects of development. A strategy that had paid off for the first episode of this new saga, but which had not been repeated this year. The complications due to the pandemic, which caused the delay of Hellblade Senua’s Saga, are undoubtedly for something there. The new Xbox studio will nevertheless resume its good old habits next year.
Ninja Theory has confirmed that new images and information around Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will be shown next year. The studio will again be posting Developer Diaries to keep players updated on the progress of the project, but also to share its vision and process around various aspects of Xbox Series exclusivity. Last year, the teams had, for example, highlighted the graphic leap between the original game and Hellblade 2, while sharing several concept arts capturing the atmosphere of the project and confirming the transition to Unreal Engine 5. If no date has not been given for the next video, no one doubts that it should offer its share of new information.
