A mobile induction loop is now available to people with hearing impairments at the information desk of the Lichtenberg town hall at Möllendorffstraße 6.

This device helps people with hearing impairments hear information better. Two other mobile induction loops can be borrowed by employees of the district office for conversations with visitors with hearing impairments.

Filiz Keküllüoğlu (Greens), District Councilor for Schools, Sports and Facility Management: “Little by little, the public administration in the Lichtenberg district is becoming less accessible. It is important to me that the needs of people with hearing impairments are taken into account and taken into account. In administration, we have to ensure better communication when dealing with authorities, such as in the social welfare or citizens’ office.” Further locations are to be equipped with mobile induction loops.

Induction loops have an earpiece and an external microphone. People with hearing impairments either use the receiver to understand acoustic information without interference, or the sound is transmitted directly to the hearing aid. The person you are speaking to must speak into the microphone.
