Hogwards Legacy, big box of the year, is gradually invading all platforms. Only one is missing, the small Switch. But between the two, there is water in the gas.
The biggest game Harry Potter to date has already broken all records since its release last February. Still, the game was only available on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC when it launched. The PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions were to arrive little by little a little later. Only here, there have obviously been a few jackdaws since reports have come to cause trouble. The PS4 and Xbox One versions have been delayed, but we end up seeing the light of day anyway not long ago. On the other hand, what about Hogwarts Legacy on Switch? There, that’s another story.
Hogwarts Legacy still has issues on Switch
Avalanche said it, he doesn’t want to launch his game in a hurry without being sure that it is ultra solid. We saw the result on PS4 and Xbox One, the versions are canon. The big comparison with new gen consoles confirms it, Hogwarts Legacy is at the top regardless of the platform. The postponement is therefore totally excused. Only, here it is, Switch players are still waiting. And unfortunately, they will still be able to gnaw their wand for a while longer since the studio has just postponed its porting once again.
While Hogwarts Legacy was expected on Switch this summer, it will not finally see the light of day until November 14, 2023. A postponement of several months therefore.
Will the magic work at Nintendo too?
The reason for this final lag has not been fully discussed, but it seems that it is once again a question of optimization. Fans can therefore be reassured by saying that the developers of Avalanche know what they are doing. As said above, the PS4 and Xbox One ports are excellent, fingers crossed that the Switch version is of the same caliber. The little Nintendo is perhaps less strong than these competitors, it is nonetheless still capable of doing very nice things. Another example is the excellent Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, which can already be described as a cult game.
