With less than a month to go until Hogwarts Legacy releases on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, Warner has shared details regarding in-game save options.

Multiple possible saves per character in Hogwarts Legacy

It’s a safe bet that some will play Hogwarts Legacy with different profiles, and that other family members will try the experience with the same game. For this, Warner has imagined several possible save locations for the characters of the title.

Hogwarts Legacy will offer 4 save slots for the different characters, which means that it will be possible to launch four different games and play them whenever we want.

The developers have also clarified how the game’s autosave system works. Thus, and for each character, the game will offer 5 autosave slots and 10 manual save slots, which is sometimes useful when you know that an event important is about to happen in the game.

On the other hand, cross-saving is not one of the features supported by the game. This means that it is not possible to find your progress on console after having started your game on PC and vice versa. On the other hand, the support did not give details of a hypothetical cross-save between consoles (Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S, PS4/PS5 or PlayStation/Xbox).
