Thanks to Hogwarts Legacy, we can get around the surroundings of the classic wizarding school in a way that was never possible before. One of the places you can visit is the tower where Dumbledore met his fate after suffering the wrath of Severus Snape.
Dumbledore famously plunged out of the window and landed in the castle courtyard. Dramatically. But it also turns out to be impossible. As an attentive Reddit-user noted, this means that Dumbledore was hit worse than we thought, as he hit not just one, but two ceilings first:
“You can go visit the spot where Dumbledore fell off the tower, except that there’s no way to fall on the ground from there. So we can only assume that canonically this is what happened:”
One can of course speculate that the castle has been modified during the 100 years that have passed between Hogwarts Legacy and the book Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but surely this feels almost more exciting?
