The next more launch of Avalanche Software not only boasts about the number of side quests in Hogwarts Legacy (there are over 100), but also how they affect the story of the game.
“Everything is interconnected,” he said Moira Squierthe narrative director and role-playing game writer, who recently discussed Hogwarts Legacy in an interview with GamesRadar, revealing how the RPG offers ways for players to create their own narratives within.
“The main story is complicated and compelling and involves a variety of different characters and viewpoints,” Squier said. “But by giving the player moments of choice throughout the game, we allow them to tell their own version of that epic story.”
It is also up to the players how they approach these side quests. Hogwarts Legacy apparently gives players the freedom to choose these activities outside of their classes. “The order in which the player chooses to complete these missions will affect their story and gameplay.”
Last week, Warner Bros. and Avalanche released a cinematic trailer for Hogwarts Legacy that showed off the game’s open-world setting, where, in addition to that, the video highlighted Nearly Headless Nick, a mysterious masked wizard, and even a dragon.
Hogwarts Legacy will launch on February 10, coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, while owners of other consoles will have to wait a bit longer. For example, the Wizarding World game won’t launch on PS4 and Xbox One until April 4, and then the Switch version will launch on July 25.
Hogwarts Legacy is developed by Avalanche Software, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game has been embroiled in controversy due to Harry Potter author JK Rowling’s transphobic comments. Although she is not personally involved in its development, she will benefit from its sales success.
