The PSVR 2 was indeed one of Sony’s focuses during its CES 2023 presentation, and even afterwards on the showfloor. Booths where the press can usually try out the brands’ upcoming products for themselves. And since there is no point in talking about virtual reality without being able to live the experience, the Japanese company has brought with it units of its PS5 VR headset.

To demonstrate all the capabilities of its new technological toy, PlayStation has put forward an in-house production: Horizon Call of the Mountain. A game in the universe of Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West where we are Ryas, a former warrior of the Shadow Carjas.

The video below is uninteresting for judging the rendering – for lack of having the helmet on our eyes ourselves -, but it allows us to better see how archery works and the climbing system which definitely makes you think at The Climb. To move with our character, you will have to visibly wave both hands as if you were running, while the climb will require stretching your arms towards the attachment points.

The PSVR 2 will be available on February 22, 2023 at a price of 599 or 649 euros in a bundle with Horizon Forbidden West. We’ll tell you more about the release line-up in the coming weeks, but it’s huge with even the surprise compatibility of Gran Turismo 7 at launch.
