The interpreter of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke, does not intend to view the spin-off House of the Dragon. Here’s why.

Games of Thrones has had its day and now its spin-off House of the Dragon is in the spotlight with a record-breaking season 1. But among the millions of viewers gathered every Sunday evening in front of their TV, there was a great absentee: Emilia Clarke. Queen of Meereen, Mother of Dragons, the aptly named Daenarys Targaryen.

Emilia Clarke completely zaps House of the Dragon

There is very little chance that Emilia Clarke, aka Daenarys Targaryen in the series Game Of Throneseither in front of his TV during the broadcast of season 2 of the spin-off House of the Dragon. And for good reason, she has already not wanted to see the first episodes.

Angry at not being able to be in the casting? Not at all, but the British actress believes that “too weird” to watch the series.

No, I don’t watch House of the Dragon. Can you forgive me? It’s too weird. I’m very happy that the series exists and all the awards it has received…. but I can’t watch it. It’s too weird. It’s too strange. It’s like being asked, “Do you want to go to that high school reunion that wasn’t in your class?” That’s how I feel, so I avoid doing it.

Via variety.

House of the Dragon is the first spin-off in a long series. There’s already a Jon Snow character project that’s going well, and other stuff that’s going differently. And if some have been put away in the closet, nothing says that they will not come out in the next few years. After all, Game of Thrones dad George RR Martin is going his own MCU with his saga he’s still working on. Much to the chagrin of fans, the final book is still being written.
