“I met someone else”: Shirine Boutella divorced, she announces that she has found love again

The opportunity for her to confide in her private life and to reveal that she has divorced. “I separated in July”she said, before saying more about her marriage to her “high school first love”. “We had lost sight of each other. (…) Eight years later, we met at a party. He said to me: ‘Actually, I still love you’. I didn’t want to have a boyfriend, I wanted to focus on myself and work. It was starting to take on social media and I was starting acting so my life was pretty full. Eventually, I fell for the thing because he didn’t let go. We ended up getting married three years later and then, three years later, we separated.”

Several months after her separation, Shirine Boutella “don’t regret anything”. “I am one of those people who say that a marriage is made and undone. (…) Even today, I continue to tell myself that it was the happiest day of my life because this day I felt like love, whether towards him or towards the people I love, I’ve never experienced that in my life. The intensity of this day was worth all the money we put into it”, confided the juror of the last edition of Cannesérie. And to come back to what caused the end of his marriage: “We realized that it didn’t work. And on the contrary, I find it better to tell ourselves that we lived the thing intensely, that we loved each other very much and that in the end we tell ourselves that we still want to be happy so let’s each try on our own.”

Shirine Boutella is in a relationship again

Shirine Boutella has particularly badly experienced the fact of being at the origin of this separation. “You live it very, very badly. The hardest thing in reality is to hurt the other”said the actress, who took a long time to understand that her relationship had no future. “I took a year to have the strength and the courage to tell him: ‘I have something to tell you’. We both let our relationship die, I could see very well that it was not working”, added the young woman, who also revealed that she was in a relationship again. “I met someone else”she confided, without saying more about the man who now shares her life.
