In the town of Puerto Iguazú, an elderly man suffered a violent assault yesterday afternoon, Friday, while he was walking along Los Trabajadores avenue near the power line. The event occurred around 4:00 p.m. and did not get any worse, thanks to the intervention of a neighbor who, with shouts, managed to get the criminals to leave the victim and flee. So far, no formal complaint has been made at the police station.
The relatives try during these hours to find the witnesses of the fact to file the complaint and point to those responsible for the robbery and the beating.
According to the victim’s testimony, he was walking down the aforementioned avenue when two males suddenly approached him, beat him and took money, the cell phone and some of the man’s belongings. Due to the intervention of a neighbor, they did not pick him up with the man’s shoes and pants as they tried to take it off.
The victim presents several blows to the face and body, after the beating received during the robbery.
