Juarez City.- Among the strategic actions that the Municipal Public Security Secretariat (SSPM) in coordination with the Municipal Women’s Institute (IMM), is attention to victims of street harassment, for which five complaints have been dealt with in a month, reported the head of the Social Prevention area, Antonio Salas Martínez.
Of the above, only one person was brought before a Civic Judge since he was located in flagrante delicto, so progress can be shown in the promotion of the complaint.
Among the situations reported is harassment on public transport and when traveling on public roads, which has generated a favorable response from citizens when responding to the invitation to report this fact.
Sexual harassment is the door to more serious crimes, for this reason the Municipal Public Security Secretariat reaffirms its commitment to establish actions that pay attention to the victims of this act.
