Although Rieke is back in Leipzig after a few months in Peru, she cannot pick up where she left off with Miriam and Cosmo. This is also shown in the new episode “In All Friendship”.
This is certainly not how Rieke had imagined her return after a few months abroad. After months of separation, she came back to her family in the last episode of “All Friendships” (April 25), but the joy of seeing each other again was limited for both Miriam and foster son Cosmo.
Although the decision to take part in the teacher exchange in Peru was made together, Rieke feels that she should not have gone. Will Miriam, Rieke and Cosmo get back together? In the episode “No Time for Dreams”, which airs the first one on Tuesday, May 2nd, it doesn’t look like it…

“Have you actually pulled yourself together again?” Jasmine wants to know from Miriam. But Rieke seems to avoid them, citing overtime and double shifts as the reason… The episode shows that it’s not just a lack of time that stands in the way of a return to harmonious everyday relationships. Because of her relationship tips and constant questions, Miriam first irons Jasmin out. The next day, she apologizes to her colleague. “I want it to work with Rieke, just because of Cosmo … But it all feels kind of wrong right now. (…) She’s so far away from me, I don’t even know what to say.” Miriam can’t stand arguing with Jasmine. When she takes her in her arms to comfort her, there is an intense kiss, which is only interrupted by Lilly Phan’s presence.

Martin’s neighbor Ariana is a patient in the Sachsenklinik. Martin suspects her abdominal pain is from appendicitis and turns the case over to his colleague. “Have you really removed the appendix?” he later asked Roland Heilmann. He did that even though the appendix was only slightly inflamed. “The surgery tended to be unnecessary. At least for now,” Heilmann said. Stein, who ordered the operation, admits his mistake to Ariana. “Of course you’re free to take legal action against me…”
Otto tries to build up his son: “Don’t blame yourself, we all make mistakes.” Martin just had too much on his plate. “Too much,” he admits. “And what if the next mistake puts someone in serious danger? (…) I don’t do justice to the patients, my colleagues, or the clinic management. And that’s why I’ve decided to retire as the treating doctor.He explains to his surprised father that he has to set priorities. “And that’s the clinic management and you.”
