Las Vegas, United States.- A subject was arrested who is accused of shooting a man to death, then to dispose of the body he dismembered it and put the remains inside a barrel, which was located by the authorities.

This is Ryan Bentley, 43, who is accused of the crime. Authorities say he killed and dismembered René Olmos Enríquez Jr., 39, in October.

Enriquez’s remains were found about three weeks later, on November 29, stuck inside a barrel found on the side of Palm Street and East Quail Avenue in Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

Enríquez had been reported missing by the family on November 3.

Police arrested Bentley hours after finding the remains, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. A second suspect, Angelica Hudson, 30, was also arrested on December 7, although the charges against her were dropped less than a month later, according to court records.

He killed him because he thought he had ratted him out.

Witnesses told authorities that Bentley believed Enriquez “told” authorities about his possession of narcotics. Less than two weeks before Enriquez was killed, police searched his home and found 115 grams of methamphetamine, about 69 grams of heroin and about 50 grams of fentanyl, according to the police report.

Enriquez was not arrested at the time, but was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Since he was not arrested, Bentley believed that he had told the police about the drugs.

Bentley then lured Enriquez into his home by telling him that he had a “care package” for him. He then told Enriquez that he could be killed or use enough fentanyl to kill himself, according to the report.

He took a lot of fentanyl and since he didn’t die, he shot him

Enriquez took the drugs and passed out, causing Bentley and a group of friends, including Hudson, to think he was dead. When he woke up and tried to run, Bentley shot him.

After Bentley was released from jail on drug charges the next day, he returned home to dismember Enriquez’s body. He pushed the remains into a 55-gallon barrel, his friends told police.

Police later recovered messages from Bentley’s Facebook page, some of which detailed how when he got home from jail, he dismembered Enriquez’s body and hid it in the barrel.

Court records show Bentley was indicted by a grand jury on January 6 and will face an arraignment hearing on January 26.
