President Dina Boluarte gave a Message to the Nation on the night of Sunday, January 29, and urged to Congress to approve the early elections or present two legislative initiatives.

“If the advancement of elections for 2023 does not prosper, the Executive will present two legislative initiatives as a matter of urgency,” said President Boluarte before Parliament’s decision to approve the reconsideration to the debate on the advancement of elections for this 2023.
