The evening began with opening remarks by Alan Faena and Jim Denevan welcoming the gathering, as well as Chef Francis Mallmann’s reading of William Shakespeare’s Sonnet 18 After grilling around artist Jim Denevan’s Common Circle installation in Faena Beach, guests headed to the Faena Theater where Alan Faena and Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber shared additional words before John Legend’s unforgettable performance.
