An Indian manufacturer has included a clone of the Apple Watch Ultra computer watch, which at first glance appears fairly faithful to the original, in its range. the “Cosmos Engange” from the manufacturer Pebble – which in turn obviously has nothing to do with the US start-up of the same name taken over by the Alphabet subsidiary Fitbit – currently costs 4000 rupees (“47% off”), which corresponds to almost 45 euros. For comparison: 1000 euros are due for the ultra original.

According to the manufacturer, the clone device has a 1.95-inch display and shines 600 candelas “bright” (Apple Watch Ultra: 2000 candelas). It’s capable of BT calling, wireless charging (with a special cable that looks like Apple’s MagSafe) and has an always-on display. Brushed metal is used instead of titanium. The shape of the device, including the digital crown and action button, were copied from Apple. It was initially unclear which software was running on the “Cosmos Engage”.

However, the interface is modeled after watchOS. An “All-in-One Health Suite” is supposed to measure heart rate and even blood oxygen, how exactly and with what remains unclear. Supposedly even a “blood pressure monitor” is integrated – which Apple does not yet have.

Videos from India show one rather slow and difficult to use interface, albeit a look of the watch that is very much based on the original. Pebble also has other Apple Watch clone products on offer: – it has been the Series 7 recreated. It is unclear whether Apple will take action against the product. However, the group sees an important growth area in the Indian market and is unlikely to be enthusiastic about such “competition”. In addition, more and more Apple products are to be manufactured on the subcontinent.

Pebble’s products themselves don’t seem to come from India, but from China – corresponding Ultra clones are made there been sold by various companies since autumn, also at prices under 50 euros. If you want to make the look “complete”, you can already get iPhone 14 fakes with Android and iOS skin there, which conveniently came onto the market even before the original.
