Should Inter Milan not be able to agree on a contract extension with Milan Skriniar, the Nerazzurri will obviously have to dig deep into their pockets. As the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ reports, Inter has committed itself to Giorgio Scalvini as a possible desired successor, but Atalanta Bergamo is calling for a transfer fee of 50 million euros for the 19-year-old central defender.
Inter still hope that Skriniar will stay with the club. The talks so far have not yet brought the hoped-for breakthrough, but have been consistently positive. The next round of negotiations is planned for mid-January. A salary of almost seven million euros per year is under discussion. If no agreement can be reached, the 27-year-old Slovakian will leave the fashion metropolis free of charge after the season.
