The president of the National Chamber of Commerce (Canaco), Rogelio Ramos Guevara, asked the authorities to stop being permissive with migrants.

“Are we going to give them special treatment just because they are migrants? They must live under the same laws that we all live by,” she expressed.

“They come to demand first class treatment from us and I believe that it should not be like that. The Police do not take care of us and they put them to take care of the migrants. The Police must safeguard the safety of the Juarez citizen, not of the migrants,” added the leader of the merchants in relation to the comment made by the head of the Municipal Public Security Secretariat about the neglect that has been given to the citizens before the arrival of foreigners.

The president of Canaco thanked the municipal authorities for the eviction that was achieved at the De Luxe hotel, which was closed after the invasion of migrants.

“They were evicted and then they returned, so they went to invite them to leave again and they did. Right now he is evicted, but I think we have to be aware of the behavior of the migrants, because they are looking for a place to go and take refuge, and they will be looking for this type of farm, so even if they have treated us, the problem continues ” he expressed.

The president of the CANACO expressed his concern about a caravan of migrants approaching from Central America.

“Last night we questioned the military what they are doing by land, because by air, when they arrive at the airport, the National Institute of Migration is there checking that each passenger comes duly documented, but by land it is not being done. nothing,” he commented.

He added that the military promised that at the point of Precos, where the train passes, they will begin to check all those who come in the migrant caravans, to detain those who arrive without permission.
