Iran’s air force: what are its main drones and military aircraft?

Iran has found itself in the spotlight in recent hours. After carrying out his threat, this past weekend he launched an unprecedented attack against Israel with hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles. According to the Israeli Army, together with the United Kingdom and the United States, they have intercepted 99% of the more than 300 drones and missiles launched, considering the attack neutralized.

Although the Government of Iran has stressed that it “has no intention” of carrying out new attacks against Israel in response to the recent bombing of its consulate in Damascus, it has warned that it “will not hesitate to protect its legitimate interests in the face of any new aggression.”

With a population of 87 million people, it has more than a million potential combatants: 610,000 military personnel and 450,000 reservists from the Basiji militia. At a material level, it has the largest ballistic missile force in the Middle East, with more than ten systems in its inventory or under development, and a reserve of hundreds of missiles.
