"It seems very good to us and we are going to support it," says Batres about the medicine warehouse proposed by AMLO

MEXICO CITY (apro).- The head of Government, Martí Batres, supported the initiative of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to build a reserve bank for medicines in Mexico City (CDMX) to attend to the country’s shortage; “It seems to us, obviously, very good and we are going to support it.”

In a conference from the Old City Hall, the former senator explained that, although “it remains to be seen how this operation is going to take place, how it is going to materialize, how it is going to land”, he will offer his support to what the president proposes federal.

“And what he announced, that here in Mexico City there can be a large supply center where there can be everything, obviously seems very good to us and we are going to support it,” he reiterated.

The local president took the opportunity to talk about the advances in health in the capital and stressed that the federal government has supported the supply of medicines in the Health Centers, where he stated that 97% supply has already been reached.

During his conference at the National Palace on Wednesday the 2nd, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador revealed his intentions to build in the capital “a large warehouse with all the medicines in the world, in reasonable quantities so that when they run out.”
