O WhatsApp has announced a series of new security features that will make it much more difficult to steal your account. One of these novelties will be evident when changing mobile devices.
When changing mobile phones, WhatsApp may ask the user to use the old device to confirm that he wants to transfer the account to the new device. If you no longer have access to your old device, WhatsApp may send you a new code to complete this step.
This and other security features will be rolled out by WhatsApp over the next few months, with the company recommending users to enable two-factor authentication.
