Charity events on Twitch, there are a lot of them. Z Event, Speedons, Birds of Prey, Game 4 Animals… And in 2022, we had the right to a little new one which, on the strength of its success, is coming back this year: the Battle 4.
A successful first edition on Twitch
In the world of charity streaming, there is a new kid who made an explosive entrance last year: the Battle 4. Admittedly, it did not bring together as many big names as the famous Z Event, the real final boss of French charity events on Twitch, but that does not mean that it did not make an impression, quite the contrary. . It must be said that Esports Village and Moov Events had seen things big for this event by offering us a live of more than 50 hours, with more than a hundred participants all gathered at the Stade de France. For a first edition, it’s simply impressive. And it is with pride that Bob Lennon, Feldup, Gob GG, Kinstaar, LittleBigWhale, Lutti, Maxence, SuperZouloux, Trixy, but also Artus, Cyril Gane, Mathieu Delaplace, the Yergachef group and many others had responded.
But then, why was all this pretty little world organized? Et good for inclusiveness, supporting two organizations with very different missions. On the one hand we had Apart, an association supporting young people in Seine-St-Denis “to social and professional integration through various actions such as sport, education or solidarity”and the NGO Handicap Internationalwho “intervenes in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflicts and disasters alongside people with disabilities and vulnerable populations”. Their cause has obviously been able to mobilize the troops since it is not no less than €435,000 was raised. Suffice to say that we could easily qualify the event as a success, and a second edition was quite naturally expected.
Batte 4 2023: date, cause…
To celebrate Christmas, the organizers have given us an appointment this year for a second edition, later this time. It will not take place at the beginning of March but at the end of April, on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd to be precise. This time again, head to Stade France for three days of frenzied live. The cause defended by this second edition? Raising awareness of visible and invisible disabilities. A very broad cause that can just as easily cover physical disabilities, disabling illnesses, mental illnesses and sensory, cognitive or neurological disorders. It remains to be seen which of these handicaps the action of the chosen associations will focus on. You will understand, we do not know for the moment. But we suspect that the organization of Battle 4 will soon reveal to us the associations for which your favorite content creators will give everything for a weekend.
For the moment, we also do not know the names of the streamers who will participate, but we imagine that some participants will renew the experience.
