The executive director of the Fiscal Control Board (JCF), Robert Mujica reported this Saturday that they filed a motion in the Federal Court, to amend the Fiscal Plan of the Electric Power Authority (AEE).

“The Oversight Board has been working to finalize the revised Fiscal Plan of the Electric Power Authority (PREPA). That process was delayed because the Oversight Board received and reviewed new information from, among others, PREPA, LUMA Energy LLC and Genera PR. This information and its impact on the projections included in PREPA’s 2023 Fiscal Plan will determine the amendments that will be required to PREPA’s Adjustment Plan to maintain its viability.” Mujica said in written statements.

“Therefore, the Board informed the Court that it will not be able to responsibly certify PREPA’s Fiscal Plan 2023 by the early deadline of June 16, 2023. The Board agrees to certify, no later than Friday, June 23, June 2023, PREPA’s 2023 Fiscal Plan and to identify any necessary amendments to the Adjustment Plan”, he added.

Mujica mentioned that the request is to extend the deadline for the status report on the procedures requested by the Court on PREPA’s Fiscal Plan 2023, from June 21 to 28, 2023.
