Doral Police officers were dispatched to a call regarding a possible home invasion in the area of the AMLI apartments in Doral on Saturday morning.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found three victims with abrasions, showing signs of a struggle.
Police say the unidentified suspect returned approximately an hour later and confronted officers, who eventually shot him and pronounced him dead at the scene.
No officers were injured during the incident and Miami-Dade firefighters treated the victims.
Miami-Dade Police detectives are investigating the matter.
