The Coen brothers’ magically timeless comedy The Big Lebowski flopped in theaters (1998) but then gained relative cult status and became a massive smash hit on DVD, which has had millions of fans clamoring for sequels for many, many years. Something that we know never happened, but in these times when everything old is new, it is of course hardly impossible that Walter and The Dude can return to the big screen and Jeff has now commented on this.
“Oh God! If the brothers were involved, I certainly would. The brothers, they’re mysterious and full of surprises. You don’t know what they’re going to do, so since they’re surprising, I don’t think they’ll make a sequel. But like I say, they’re surprising, so maybe they’ll surprise me and make a sequel.”
