Jeremy Renner surprised everyone by resuming social networks from the hospital bed to bring peace of mind to his fans and thank him for the support he has received after suffering a serious accident
The actor, who plays Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universetook to Instagram on Tuesday, January 3 to share a photo of his bruised and battered faceas well as a thank you message. “Thank you all for the kind words from him,” Renner wrote. “I’m too sick right now to write. But I send love to all”he added.

On January 1, 2023, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office in Reno confirmed the news of actor Jeremy Renner’s accident. “Upon arrival, officers coordinated with the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for the medical transportation of Mr. Jeremy Renner via a care flight to a local area hospital. Mr. Renner was the only party involved in the incident”.

“The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the circumstances of the incident,” said Sgt. Kristin Vietti.
According to TMZ, and with the testimony of a neighbor of the actor, the snowplow “accidentally ran over one of Renner’s legs”, which caused an injury with a lot of blood loss. One of his neighbors, a doctor, placed a tourniquet on his leg until paramedics arrived.
Jeremy Renner had surgery on Monday. In a statement sent to PEOPLE, Renner’s representative said: “We can confirm that Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and underwent surgery today, January 2, 2023. He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”
Renner, of 51 years old, has a house about 25 miles from Reno, near Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal. A winter storm hit the area on New Year’s Eve, causing 35,000 homes to lose power, according to the publication.
