Joker: Year One | Chip Zdarsky shares never-before-seen art

Comic artist Chip Zdarsky recently shared new art from Joker: Year One, DC Comics’ future narrative arc focused on Clown Prince of Crime.

“Yes! For the month of February we are launching a special story in the pages of Batman called JOKER: YEAR ONE!” he wrote Zdarsky in a post from Substack.

“Giuseppe Camuncoli and Andrea Sorrentino came on board to give this story a really cool look. It takes place in two time periods: the period right after the creation of the Joker in the chemical vat, and sometime in the future, as Batman tries to unravel a mystery. It was fun trying to dance among the raindrops of continuity!”

“Anyway, it’s cool and pretty and I hope people like it when it comes out. And yes, I did the promotional art above. Could it end up being a cover? Maybe?” concluded the artist.
