This is the case of Jorge Capitanichwho analyzed the inmate of Frente de Todos with a good share of self-criticism: “Today we are without definition in terms of political strategy. It is necessary to set up a (party) table that allows closing a programmatic agreement and then defining the leadership, which must arise from the popular mandate”.
Before the announcement of Cristina Kirchner that he will not compete in the elections, the governor of Chaco believes that it is essential to start defining the names that will participate in the internal one. In this framework, he focused on previous speculations that they give as possible candidates for Alberto Fernández, Jorge Manzur and Sergio Massa.
The provincial leader believes that this is neither viable nor positive for the Frente de Todos, among other issues because the national government “is a part” of the coalition that came to power in 2019: “Alberto Fernández has the right to go for re-election, no one doubts it. The central problem is that, within the same space of Government, The President, his Chief of Staff and the Minister of Economy cannot be candidates.. It’s not reasonable.”
In the same sense, Capitanich avoided -in statements to The Uncover Radio– a definition on whether a minister should resign if he intends to compete in the internal: “The Government itself should not be represented by several candidates. What I think is that (the official) is supported by the rest or he would not be representative of all… It is a matter that must be resolved, and I think it is an opinion that should reasonably be considered”.
Nor was it conclusive when asked about whether thinks of running to the President of the Nation: “I don’t have a decision made about it because it does not depend only on me, because politics is a collective construction. I am focused on my re-election as governor, but I am not going to withdraw from the national political discussion, especially from the proposal of ideas.
The governor of Chaco believes that first a political table to open participation to build other groups in the primaries, and there will be defined who represents the Frente de Todos: “I have no doubt that it should be someone who expresses the best of our identity and our diversity.”

“Why are we going to put Cristina in the dilemma of confronting someone when she is above the internal contradictions of our space. She is above the group, to pretend that she is below her is to minimize her political capacity. We cannot subject her to an electoral result, but her and Néstor Kirchner’s legacy must have political representation”, he finished.

Capitanich remained firm in his aspirations to exercise a new period, for four more years, at the head of Chaco. “The first challenge I have is the commitment to my province for re-election, but I do not want to withdraw from the national debate,” she confirmed on Radio Perfil.
And he focused, at the national level, on four restrictions “that require capacity to be overcome” and, for which, according to him, “we must try to reach consensus.”
As a first point, the president suggested repairing the “institutional or constitutional restriction” which, according to him, would imply going through “the organization of the judicial system and its functioningthe integration of the members of the Supreme Court, the mechanisms of balanced representation of the Council of the Magistracy, and the periodicity in the mandates of the judges”.
